My One and Only

I just wanted to take some time today and tell David how much I love and appreciate him. There just aren't words to describe how much I love him and how much he means to me. No matter what he's always been there for me, whether it's trying to calm me down before I have to give a talk, giving me the extra push I need to get out of bed at 2 o'clock in the morning so I can (yet again) use the restroom, or just giving me a hug when I've had a bad day, I know I can always count on him.

A couple weeks ago we went to our childbirth education class and I have never seen a birth before. The whole time during the video I was fighting back tears and David knew I was just terrified. He put his arm around me and reached for my hand. When the video was over she gave us a 10 minute break and we went for a walk. He asked if I was ok and I just started crying, he just held me and told me how strong I am, that we can do this together, and that everything is going to be alright.

The shock of that video (I don't know why they try to terrify pregnant women!) has since worn off, but I feel so much peace just knowing that I don't have to do this alone, that he is going to be by my side, and for that I am truly grateful. I couldn't do this without him, he is my strength. I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect for me. David I love you so much and I am so thankful for all the love and support you've given me throughout our marriage and especially through this pregnancy. Thank you for everything you do for me, I love you! Sorry everyone for getting all mushy, blame it on the pregnancy hormones! =)

I wasn't brave enough to watch those videos. I knew it'd scare me! You're braver than I. You're husband is too sweet to say those things.

Don't be scared Amber! Child birth aint pretty, but it was two of the best experiances of my life! Epidural, Epidural, Epidural and it is smooth sailing after that! :) Get a blessing before and keep your hubby close by. You will love it! I promise! Plus all the fear and pain goes away as soon as you have your little girl in your arms.

I can't say anything about a normal delivery from experience but even after my C-section I felt like superwoman! Our bodies are amazing. Especially after seeing those videos, you will be so proud of yourself when she gets here. Its one of the first sacrifices (and definately one of the biggest) that allow us to begin to glimpse the love that Heavenly Father has for us.
David is a great guy. What a sweetie for trying so hard to understand you. I love having a great husband!

Oh, and another joy of pregnancy is that by the time you are 38 or 40 weeks... you won't care what it takes to get her out! Your entire mindset changes after you hit the 'really miserable' stage at the very end.

Isn't that so true Tiffani! LOL! And I agree with Becky there is NO shame in taking an Epidural. It was the best thing ever! And don't worry Amber you'll do great! But those videos are pretty horrific! I just sat there horrified and told T.J. I'd rather stay pregnant and I think it was right then and there that I decided to have an epidural. But like Tiffani I had a c-section as well so the actual delivery part was a little different than usual. But a C-section isn't something I would recomend. =) Just Think Possitive.
