Reed Family Reunion

So it was time again for the annual Reed family reunion. I have to say, the 9 hour drive up to Manila is never a fun experience now that we have a child. We decided to have Sadie skip her nap the day we left thinking that it would help her fall asleep sooner in the car. Well...we were WRONG. The child stayed awake for 7 HOURS before she finally fell asleep at 11 o'clock at night. It wasn't that she was being really ornery or anything, but the poor baby hadn't had a nap and she was strapped into a car seat and everytime we'd let her out for 5-10 minutes we'd strap her back in, I mean what kind of awful parents are we? But alas, we finally made it there at 2 in the morning and then the matter of putting Sadie to bed had to be faced. She doesn't sleep anywhere but her own bed. Period. So she screamed for about an hour while I tried to rock her and finally I just laid down in our bed with her. Our full (size) bed...all 3 of us...I bet you can guess how much we slept that night! ;) Okay, that's it, I'm done telling about the bad parts of the trip. The rest was pretty enjoyable. We were able to hang out with David's family and see cousins, aunts, and uncles that we haven't seen since last year. It was fun seeing everybody again and we got to see baby Jackson for the first time!
Plane!!!! She gets SO excited when she hears or sees and airplane flying over us and has to stop whatever she's doing to look up point and say "PANE!!!"

I must have gotten my line stuck in the same dumb tree about 15 times! lol! But I still caught the biggest fish! Now if only we had taken a picture...guess you'll just have to take my word for it! =)Sadie hiking up the trail, dirty bum and all!
