Well, we've had a week or two of really nice weather here in Vegas about a month ago and I have been DYING to get this baby seat put on my bike so I could take Sadie out on bike rides. I just new she would love it! So I had David put the seat on the bike and away we went! Sadie loves going on bike rides, but she's not overly fond of the helmet she has to wear (can't say that I blame her). We got a couple days of bike rides in before the heat hit and now it's WAY too hot to go riding =(. I guess I could get us up at 5 in the morning to go for a ride but...yeah, not gonna happen! =)
Since it has been so hot here, we decided to get Sadie a little wading pool she could play in because she loves to play in water, whether it be the sink, the bathtub, water in the gutters (yuck, I know) wherever, she wants to play in it. Here are some shots of her in her little pool.
So happy!
She was so cute! She wanted to give Lilo some water, so she'd stick her hand in the water to get it wet and then stick it out to Lilo so she could lick the water off her hand.
Can you believe how big this little girl is getting? Everyday it just blows my mind how much she has changed in the past 16 months. She's like a sponge, she absorbs everything, and wants to learn more. Being a mom is really the best, most rewarding job in the whole world. Just watching her learn and grow is amazing! Here's some things about Sadie right now:
1. Everytime we put her in her highchair to eat she automatically folds her arms to say prayer, she won't eat until we've said the prayer. We went out to dinner last night and we sat her in the chair and she folded her arms and looked at us like ok who's going to say prayer? She teaches us so much and is such a good little example to us.
2. She loves to sing 5 little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and shakes her finger at you when you get to the part "and the Dr. said, NO more monkeys jumping on the bed!" and cracks up laughing. She also loves popcorn popping and does the popcorn and surprise action and the finger shaking.
3. She loves to talk, she walks around the house just jibber-jabbering away and she actually holds baby talk conversations with me. She'll stand and just talk to me in the most serious way like what she's saying is the most important thing and I hold my part of the conversation and I just wish I knew what she was saying!
4. She says a myriad of words dog, mama, dada, g-ma, g-pa, book, bird, yea, go, ball, more, etc. I've also been teaching her to sign since she was about 6 months so she can communicate what she wants pretty effectively through signing, especially now because she's picking signs up so quickly! It really is amazing!
5. She loves to help do laundry. She empties out her hamper and takes all her clothes to the laundry room or a laundry basket and then immediately takes them all back to her hamper.
6. She loves to read books
7. She loves the My Friends Tigger and Pooh Christmas movie and the My Friends Tigger and Pooh Musical. She gets them out and brings them to me at least twice a day wanting to watch them. (Don't worry we don't always let her!)
8. She weighs 19 lbs so she is still a lightweight and is still in a backwards facing carseat! We can't wait for that extra pound to come so we can FINALLY turn her around!
9. We don't have to give her her breathing treatments everyday anymore! Yay! Just when she needs them now, until the fall, and then we have to go back to the lung specialist and go from there. They told us she has asthma and that most babies grow out of it by the time they are 2 or 3, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Sorry for the book! I just needed to get a post about Sadie up because it's been awhile and I don't want to forget anything about her in this fun stage! It just goes by too fast!
