Of Trials and Blessings.

I really feel the need to express how grateful I am for the trials in my life as well as for the blessings. I've been thinking a lot lately about how hard life has been for us the past few months and I think it's really easy for me to get caught up in "just making it through the day" without taking the time to count my blessings and acknowledge them. I am SO blessed in my life and I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for my two beautiful girls and my wonderful husband. Here's what's been going on in our lives lately, of trials and blessings!

For those of you don't know, David went back to school full time last fall. He is majoring in Kinesiology and hopes to attend UNLV's Physical Therapy program after he gets his Bachelors. It is such a blessing that he is able to continue his education! I am so proud of him and all the hard work he puts in to attend school full time and hold down a full time job to continue to provide for our family. It has to be hard but he does it with little complaining and always makes time to play with Sadie or cuddle with Claire before (or after, whatever the case may be!) bedtime. It's been hard not having him around very often (especially as I was trying to adjust to being a mother of 2!) but it will be worth it when he is finished!

Sadie and Claire are miracles in and of themselves. I feel so blessed to be their mother! That Heavenly Father entrusted these sweet sweet spirits to me is so humbling. I look at them and I know that He must love me immensely to send them to me to teach me the things that I need to learn here on this earth. I can't express in words how much I love my little girls and how precious they are to me.

Sadie amazes me everyday with her intelligence and spunkiness. She can make anybody smile no matter what the situation. This makes it especially difficult when I'm trying to be stern with her, but I love her all the more for it. She loves to dance and it's my favorite thing to sit and watch her dance and have fun. Oh to be 2 again and have no inhibitions about what people think! She truly is my sunshine.

Claire, my sweet Claire! She is our little bundle of smiles. She loves to be held and cuddled. Her favorite place to be is in somebody's arms, sitting up, seeing what the world has to offer. She loves it when you talk to her, and gives out the biggest, most beautiful smiles when you do. She already wants to grow up too fast! You can just see her wanting to be up and playing with her big sister and she's only 12 and a half weeks old!

I have been keeping busy being sick with my 2 sick babies! They have literally been sick since the end of January, whether it be asthma acting up or colds, they've been taking turns and now they're sick together! Yay! Luckily Sadie is mostly over it and Claire is in the downhill side and we, for the most part, have our happy girls back! I also received a calling as Young Women's secretary last month, which scares me to death! It truly is humbling to me, I don't know if I'm going to be any good at it, but with the Lord's help all things are possible, right???=) It's all just a little overwhelming sometimes, especially when I'm trying to act like I have it all together! Newsflash!!! I SO don't have it all together! (There, now I can stop pretending! What a relief!=)

I've so been there! Oh wait...I'm still there!! :) We can do this, but it does make it much easier when we remember to count our blessings.

Congrats on the calling and David going back to school. I am YW Secretary too and it scares me too! I have really had to learn how to be more organized and I am still learning and it has been almost a year. Good luck with everything and hang in there!

Wow, I didn't realize your hus went back to school! I can't even imagine how that would be. Your girls seem like such sweet ones - hopefully they can get to be feeling better quick! Reagan has already had 2 ear infections - healthy, happy babies are so much more fun!
Best of luck!
P.S. NOBODY has it all together. You're not alone.

What a sweet post, so honest. Sorry you guys have been sick. I hate when the sickness lingers and passes between kids. It never seems to end. I promise you it does. Thank you for the reminder to count blessings. It's so important, especially on those stressful days. I miss our park get-to-gethers. Maybe in the summer we can meet at the water park again and catch up. Its got to be hard on you supporting a hubby who is doing school and work full time. Kudos to you for holding down the fort, it's not always easy.
